Hello and welcome :)

My name is Katie and I’m a multimedia artist based in Duluth, MN.

I graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with my BFA in illustration and minor in teaching. Although my degree is in design, I spend most of my time oil painting. I actively participate in gallery exhibitions, booths at art fairs, accept commissions, and have involvement in various community based art events and programs as a panelist, curator, and art instructor.

In audition to my personal art practice, I have a background in arts education, having taught visual and media arts at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and schools across both Minneapolis and Duluth MN.

My work explores themes of femininity and autonomy, often with floral and figurative subjects. Understanding my identity has always been central to my work. Through my artistic practice, I’m able to explore, express, and continually deepen that understanding. My art is a reflection of how I celebrate myself, others in my community, and the overall feminine perspective. As I aim to be introspective, I also want to empower people, honor individual growth, and create space for expression.
